Animal Spirits Series (1991-99)
The “Animal Spirits” Series of twelve paintings are the last that Wood produced and were described by him as “breaking through the window” to move out into the landscape of the Santa Fe area of the American Southwest. We are able to offer eight of these paintings for sale here as well as three pastel studies.
NOTE: Because Wood used an extraordinary number of colors in complex combinations in his paintings, his art is notoriously difficult to photograph and reproduce. The images on this website may not entirely accurately reproduce the color combinations in the paintings as seen directly by the human eye.
