Skylight Series (1982-89)

The “Skylight” Series of nine paintings further explore themes developed in the “Windows” series without the double-sash compositional framework, instead employing a variety of pane-like shapes of a variety of sizes organized loosely in horizontal and vertical groupings. Six of those paintings and four studies are offered for sale here.

NOTE: Because Wood used an extraordinary number of colors in complex combinations in his paintings, his art is notoriously difficult to photograph and reproduce.
